Editor-in-Chief: Gordon Rand
Gordon Rand is a 3L at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law and serves as the Loyola Maritime Law Journal’s Editor-in-Chief. Gordon is the Vice President of Loyola’s Maritime Law Society, a member of Trial Advocacy, and serves as the Clerk on the Phi Delta Phi executive board. After graduating from Benjamin Franklin High School in New Orleans, Gordon received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Mississippi. Upon graduation, Gordon plans to sit for the Louisiana bar exam and practice in his hometown of New Orleans.
Chief of Staff: Elizabeth Gainer
Elizabeth Gainer is a 3L at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law and serves as the Loyola Maritime Law Journal’s Chief of Staff. Elizabeth functions as the primary coordinator for the Journal’s events, including the Symposium, Longshoreman’s Conference, and Banquet. Elizabeth is the coach of Loyola’s Moot Court Nationals and competed on the Maritime Moot Court team last semester. Elizabeth is also a member of Phi Delta Phi, the Federalist Society, and the Environmental Law Society. Elizabeth received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Mississippi. Upon graduation, Elizabeth plans to sit for the Tennessee Bar Exam.
Online Editor: Ethan Jeffus
Ethan Jeffus is a 3L at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, where he serves as the Online Editor for the Loyola Maritime Law Journal. Ethan was selected by Loyola University New Orleans College of Law to join the 2024 incoming Ignatian Law Scholars cohort. He is an active member of the Maritime Law Society, Federal Bar Association, and Student Bar Association. Ethan graduated Magna Cum Laude receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Business Administration from Louisiana Tech University. Originally from Minden, LA Ethan plans to sit for the Louisiana bar exam and practice law in New Orleans after graduation.
Managing Editor: Chris Lucore
Chris Lucore is a 3L at Loyola Law and serves as one of the Loyola Maritime Law Journal’s Managing Editors. Chris is also a member of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society and the Loyola Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. After graduation, Chris intends to sit for either the Louisiana or Mississippi bar exam.
Managing Editor: Alex Perera
Alex Perera is a 3L at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, where he serves as a Managing Editor for the Loyola Maritime Law Journal. He is also an active member of Phi Delta Phi Honor Society, the Federal Bar Association, Lambda Law Society, and the National LGBTQ+ Bar Association. Alex earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Louisiana State University. Upon graduation, Alex will sit for the Louisiana Bar Exam and practice law in New Orleans.
Case Note & Comment Editor: Drake Troxclair
Drake Troxclair is a 3L at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law and serves as a Comment Editor for the Loyola Maritime Law Journal. In addition to his position on the Journal, Drake is a student practitioner in the Family Law section of the Stuart H. Smith Law Clinic. Drake received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Loyola University New Orleans. Upon graduation, Drake will sit for the Louisiana bar exam and looks forward to practicing law in New Orleans.
Case Note & Comment Editor: Noah Thibodeaux
Noah Thibodeaux is a 3L at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law and serves as a Comment Editor for the Loyola Maritime Law Journal. In addition to his position on the Journal, Noah is a member of the Student Bar Association and the St. Thomas More Law Society, among others. Noah received a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Upon graduation, Noah will sit for the Louisiana bar exam and looks forward to practicing in his hometown of Lafayette.

Trey Braud is a 3L at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law and serves as a Case Note and Comment Editor for the Loyola Maritime Law Journal. Trey earned his Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from the College of Charleston in South Carolina. Upon graduation, he plans to sit for the Louisiana Bar Exam and practice on the Northshore, focusing on maritime personal-injury litigation.

Adam Miller is a 3L at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law and serves as one of the Loyola Maritime Law Journal’s Case Note & Comment Editor. Adam is a staff member of Trial Advocacy, a member of Alternative Dispute Resolution, and a student member of the Federal Bar Association. Adam received a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications - Political Communications from Louisiana State University. Upon graduation, Adam plans to sit for the Colorado bar exam and serve as a Deputy District Attorney in Colorado Springs, CO.
Substance & Citation Editor: Carly Guidry Adams
Carly Guidry Adams is a J.D. Candidate (2028) at Loyola University College of Law, attending as an evening student, and serves as one of the Loyola Maritime Law Journal's Substance and Citation Editors. Carly is a member of the Evening Law Student Association and also serves as the Vice President of the First Generation Law Student Association. Carly received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Nicholls State University in 2020 and currently works full time as a registered nurse. Carly plans to sit for the Louisiana bar upon graduation.

Abigail Kilgore is a 3L at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law and serves as one of the Substance and Citation Editors for the Loyola Maritime Law Journal. Abigail also serves as Secretary for the Student Bar Association and is a member of other organizations on campus. She received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and plans to sit for the Louisiana Bar Exam upon graduation.
